Master Photographer Kim Critchfield is teaching Macro/Closeup/Composition class for the Magic Valley Camera Club in Twin Falls

Kim would like you to know –

On February 17th and 18th, I’m teaching my Macro/Closeup/Composition class for the Magic Valley Camera Club in Twin Falls.
On Friday, (6:30 pm at the Art Council), we’ll talk about:
*Composition Hunting
*Looking for a clear subject and where to place it…leading lines, rule of thirds, distractions, etc.
*Defining what you like about it
*Foreground, background, elevation, & position
*Choosing a focal length
*Shutter speed, aperture & ISO
*Lighting, equipment, and storytelling

  • My “Simple pictures are best”, ”Art is Everywhere”, and “Doing it for the JOY of it!” mantras.
*It will be fun, informative, and casual. Come with your questions and I’ll do my best to answer them! There will be prizes.
Saturday, at the Art Council, we’ll start at 9am and go to noon or 1pm. I’ll bring stuff I’ve collected over the years and we’ll photograph! I show you simple lighting techniques to make your images sing. Bring your camera and tripod. Newbie or Pro, there will be fun for everyone!
Cost is $40. If you didn’t work at the fair and free if you did.
