Come join the Magic Valley Camera Club at 6:30 pm on December 12th we will be meeting in Orton Botanical Garden (1867 Filer Ave West) to shoot Christmas lights!

Please bring a cash  donation along with your gear.

Regular monthly meeting will be at the Herrett Center, please remember to bring your cameras since we will have access to the traveling Smithsonian exhibit.

Monthly Meeting October 10, 2023

Please join us for a fun evening at the Crismor's Pumpkin Patch! Bring your camera and capture that perfect seasonal photo (photos). There will be opportunities galore of pumpkins, corn stalks, maze and so much more. Bring a friend or two to join in. We are meeting at 5:45 p.m. or a tad earlier so that we can take care of any business or answer questions. (Wear your autumn colors as you never know when someone with a camera will get you in a photo.)

We will have Janet Gorringe of Illusions and Perfect Pet Portraits show us how she processes photographs in Photoshop for realistic painterly images. Please plan to attend.

Fair meeting and photo mounting help Karen will go over anything you need to know about the fair and answer any questions. Doug Lincoln will be there to mount your photos. There is a small fee for mounting.

TUESDAY, JULY 11, 2023 AT 6:30 PM MVCC Historic Stricker Ranch and Rock Creek Station Field Trip Meeting

Please join us for a fun-filled and educational evening at: The Rock Creek Station and Stricker Homesite dates from 1865 and includes the Rock Creek Store, Stricker House, a pioneer cemetery, and numerous outbuildings. This historic site, listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1980 and located south of Hansen, was an early transportation center serving the Oregon Trail, Overland mail stage route, and the Kelton Freight Road.

TUESDAY, MAY 9, 2023 AT 6:30 PM Windsor's Nursery 3796 N 3386 E Kimberly Road Kimberly, ID ring your camera and explore all the flowers, bushes, trees and trinkets at Windsor’s Nursery. We will have a short meeting before we let you loose to see the beauty that Windsor’s has to offer.

April Meeting; A Bender Photography Zoom Meeting 4/11/23 6:30 PM – 8:15 PM

We will have a Zoom presentation by Alyce Bender of ABender Photography. Alyce, or Bender as she prefers to be called, is a Tamron Pro Amabassador, Photography Tour Leader for Wildside Nature Tours, member of NANPA, PPA and Nature First. Her images and writings have been in such publications as Outdoor Photographer, Tamron Magazine, NANPA Expressions, Landscape Photography Magazine and Wild Planet Photography Magazine. She is a contributing writer and photographer to the Journal of Wildlife Photography. The presentation for this meeting will be on Wildflower Photography. Location is the old Burley High School-1600 Parke Avenue. Room assignment is TBD but there will be a sign on the front door with directions.

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 17, 2023 AT 6:30 PM February's Club Meeting with Kim Critchfield

Regular club meeting with Kim Critchfield. This is prelude to the class held on Saturday from 9:00 to 1:00. Kim will tell you what you need to bring and talk to about composition and the rule of thirds. This evening is free to attend. Saturday is free to the people who worked fair and $40.00 for those that didn’t work.

Please bring a 'white elephant gift for a gift exchange. (no more than a $10-$15 value and preferred to have the gifts photography related).
Do you have any photography gear that you just aren't using and would like to exchange/trade or sell? Please bring it with you! We need you to RSVP no later than December 9th. (Meal is $12/per person)
